Co. Fermanagh.

The premises are located approximately one mile from St. Angelo Airport travelling towards Kesh and is named Ballycassidy House.

Austen Stinson, the current proprietor of W T Morrison, Darling St. saw the need for such a facility in the county.

So, after a lot of thought and encouragement from friends and from his very supportive wife Roberta he finally decided to fulfil his lifelong dream.

The new building is on the site of Austen’s father in law’s former business; Mr Bobby Hetherington ran a successful garage there for over 50 years. The tranquil countryside backdrop provides a very peaceful and serene setting for families in their time of need and Austen hopes this will make a difficult time a lot easier for them.

The spacious building caters for all denominations and none. It incorporates the impressive 200 seated Laragh Suite which is used for Funeral Services.

There is also the more intimate Quiet Room where the deceased rests prior to removal to the family home or Church. This room can also be used by a family to hold a “traditional wake” where friends can come to express sympathy with them.

The Private Family Room is where relatives can avail of time to gather their thoughts, reflect and just be on their own. The fully equipped Preparation Room ensures that a family can be safe in the knowledge that their loved one is always cared for.

Ballycassidy House can also be used for Funeral Teas.

Austen considers it a privilege and an honour to be called upon to serve a family at one of the most traumatic and distressing times in their lives.

He endeavours to ease the burden by taking care of all the arrangements from the moment he receives the first call right through to the Burial or Cremation.

The business has always traded as W T Morrison from the original owner started in 1880 and has seen several owners over the past 130 years.

Austen’s late father Claude bought the business along with his wife Marina, from David Holmes in 1986.

Austen who has gained a wealth of experience over the years takes great pride that it is still a family owned business. Austen personally manages the day to day running of the business and is ably assisted by fully qualified staff that have Diplomas in Funeral Directing.
